Talk about a School Trip

(聊聊学校观光游)

Nancy: Hi, Jeff. How are you doing?

Jeff: I'm fine, Nancy. How about you?

Nancy: I'm doing great. I just got back from my summer vacation trip with my school.

Jeff: Me too. What did you do on your school trip?

Nancy: I went to London with some students from the History Club.

Jeff: Wow! Fantastic! What did you do there?

Nancy: Well, we went to some famous places. We saw the changing of the guard at Buckingham Palace, and we looked at Westminster Abbey and St Paul's Cathedral, and we visited the Tower of London and saw Big Ben.

Jeff: Did you go to the British Museum?

Nancy: Yes we did, and it was great! There was so much to see!

Jeff: Were there many people there?

Nancy: Yes, there were. It was really crowded, because so many students were on vacation. I had a great time in London and I bought lots of souvenirs. Where did you go, Jeff?

Jeff: I went with the Geography Club to the Maldives.

Nancy: Where's that?

Jeff: It's a chain of islands in the Indian Ocean.

Nancy: Did you stay in a hotel?

Jeff: Yeah. Our hotel was really good.

Nancy: Did you drive around the islands?

Jeff: No, we didn't. But we swam and snorkeled and we also went scuba-diving.

Nancy: Were there any sharks?

Jeff: No, there weren't! Thank goodness! I had a great time in the Maldives. The islands were really beautiful. And I learned a lot.
