一、教材分析

本单元是以“学生邀请参加聚会”为话题，开展课堂教学活动。通过谈论如何回应别人的邀请是欣然接受,或是委婉拒绝，学会在交往中有理有节，一旦自己有任务在身，就要学会说“不”，讲明理由，学会表达歉意和谢意。

二、学情分析

本单元教材面对的是八年级学生，他们英语上听说读写等技能有一定的基础，能基本上用英语表达简单的句子及意思。通过本单元的学习学生引导学生谈论在日常生活中的邀请和应答，培养他们口语交际能力，加强听说能力的培养。并且学会日常交往中的礼节，与他人友好相处，增强友谊。

三、教学目标

1、认知目标：单词及短语：study, help ,visit, test ,lesson， have a piano lesson ,test ,party, etc 掌握句型：Can you come to my party?Yes，I would loveto. Sorry,I can’t.I have to study for a test.

2、能力目标：培养学生的口语交际能力，学会邀请他人，接受邀请或拒绝他人。

3、情感态度与价值观：

本课时围绕“邀请”展开话题，贴近学生生活，谈论的是学生日常交往常遇到的事情，要学会真诚、坦然的与他人相处，可以提高他们学习英语的兴趣，积极参与英语实践活动

四、教学重点和难点

1、单词和表达邀请的句子。情态动词can的用法。

2、表达邀请，接受及拒绝。

五、教学过程

Step I.：Revision.

Let students  review the words and expressions in last period.2、Check the homework.

1.学生说出图片对应的单词。             2.学生回答。          3.学生两人一组问答。

以色彩鲜艳的图片和实物激发学习兴趣，复习、强化记忆，以旧引新的作用。

Step II：Presentation and listenting.

1.Present the new words: study, help ,visit, test ,lesson，have a piano lesson ,test ,party。

2. T：Saturday is my birthday, I will have a birthday party .Can you cometo my party? Lead the student to answer：Yes，I would love to.

Sorry,I can’t.I have to study for a test.

3. Read the instrutions let the student finish 1a,Check the answers .Play the recording , let the students  listen and write the names they hear in 1b.

4. Check the answers.

Step III： Pairwork.

1.T:Read the instrutions.Ask students to practice the dialouge in 1c.Then present one dialouge as example,and have students pratice their own conversations.

2：Ask some pairs to present their conversations in front of class.

3.some pairs present their conversations in front of the class.

Step IV. practice

1. T:ask a boy “Can you come to my party on Saturday? (Yes ,I can.) Then ask others “Can you come to my party on Saturday? (Yes ,I can.)”(Sorry,I can’t.I have to...).And write down the sentences on the blackboard.  Ask students read them aloud.

2.Ask the students to make the conversatios in pairs.

1).师生问答，导入句型。     2).两人一组问答，练习新句型。

示范表演新目标语言，使学生明白新语言项目的运用功能，并学着运用Can you come to …(Yes ,I can.)”(Sorry,I can’t.I have to... 和同桌进行对话，满足了大部分中等生的表现欲望，带动了全班学习英语的积极性。

Step V. Homework.

1、 Copy the new words twice

2、Make a conversatios with: Can you come to …(Yes ,I can.)”(Sorry,I can’t.I have to...

1).学生抄写单词。2).学生谈论邀请和应答。巩固新词汇，理论联系实际。
