情感目标

1对学生对国家城市文化背景的培养;

2激发学生对家乡和祖国热爱的情感;

设计思路：为2020奥运会推荐主办城市的课堂任务四组学生进行代表四座不同的城市;选择大家比较熟悉的外国城市：巴黎、悉尼、洛杉矶以及一座待定的中国城市。

选择一座中国的待定城市是，为了让学生很有目的地去学习和对比上海和香港这两座城市。

这堂课当中学生会通过三部分来完成这个推荐任务 ：

1对比香港上海两座城市，挑选出更具为竞争力的城市作为中国申办的奥运城市;

2各小组将自己所代表的城市两两比较，说明自己组优势的地方;

3各小组成员进行合作讨论推选一代表进行申奥陈述，总结并阐述自己所代表的城市相对于其他城市更具有优势的原因。

Teaching steps:

Part I: leading-in

Step 1:  Today we're going to talk about Olympic and cities.Do you know something about the history of Olympic host cities.

播放关于历届奥运会举办城市(1896-2008)的视频，然后分别提问学生Can you tell me in which cities we have Olympic in 2000?

(2004、2008、2012、2016...)当提到2020 年的时候开始引入本节课话题。

Step 2: Many places in the world are interesting in hosting Olympic.Suppose these cities have chances ：Sydney、Hollywood 、Paries and a Chinese city.

T:In today class, you are going to represent the four cities: Group1 will be Sydney;Group2 will be Hollywood G3 represent Paries and G4 will be a Chinese city.

老师展示四个城市的图片，其中分小组来进行代表推选，中国城市为待定城市。

Step 3 : You are going to have 3PKs to compete each other. If you do well in the PK, you get points. The points are the votes.

老师向学生介绍本节课分三次小组比赛，哪一组表现好就会得到更多的分意味着得到更多的选票。第一次pk前先为小组4找到候选城市。

Step 4：

1.Introduce the two cities ：Shanghai and Hong Kong  2.Use the map of China to present the new words

1).Teach the four compass points (east, south, west and north)  2).Talk about different parts of China and describe the locations

老师让学生在地图上找到这两座城市并教学生如何辨别中国地图的方向。

Part II: Listening

Pre-listening：

Extend the knowledge about the two cities for Listening  提问： What else they know about the two cities.

While-listening：

A   Play the recording and have them match the words and phrases in  Task 1 and 2.  Then let them check their answers with a partner  提问：what are differences beteween Shanghai and Hongkong? B   Play another recording the (dialogue) and find out which sentences involving the comparison of two cities , answer the question .

通过听课文对话，从香港和上海的人口，天气，历史等方面来比较这两座城市。 Post-listening：

Play  the recording again ，pay attention to the key words of compare two cities.

Give the conclusion of the comparatives and practice     (总结形容词比较级的用法构成和功能)
