At the age of 19, Ma Xiaoxu is already famous in the women's game. Last year, she won the Golden Ball and Golden Shoe in the FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup. She played for a Swedish (瑞典的) football team for six months. The local paper said many good things about her.

Ma is a bit of a tomboy (假小子). She wears her hair short and doesn't like skirts. She plays like a boy too, fast and strong. She is easy-going, but never afraid to say what she thinks. "I speak my mind. And I do what I think is right," she said.

She hopes she can score more goals for China in the Women's World Cup.
