One of the keys to being successful is persistence(坚持).Once you have determined exactly what you want to achieve, you must take active action in order to succeed.

One of the things you'll notice on your journey towards your goal are roadblocks. That is, you will come across obstacles(障碍) to discourage your progress. Actually, they are a part of life. Getting to Now: How to Beat the Procrastination Habit

I am a procrastinator(拖拉者). I always have been. I've tried all sorts of things to beat the habit. Here are some techniques I've been using to try to force myself to get to now:

Set aside blocks of time to do things. When I was talking with my wellness coach earlier this year, she asked me why I didn't exercise more often. “　36　,” I said. “Something always comes up.” She wasn’t impressed. “J.D.,” she said, “You have to make time. Make an appointment with yourself to run or to go for a bike ride.” The same principle applies to other things you might procrastinate.

It isn’t hard to grow up into a responsible members of society.

I can well remember an incident that happens on a rainy Sunday afternoon. I was on my way to the bookstore and was waiting the green light at a crossing when a girl of about ten was knocked on by a passing car, it drove off quickly. A man immediately rushed to a girl to give her first aid and I joined in without hesitation. Luckily she was not badly injured but we sent her to the nearest hospital.
