高一英语必修二第二单元教学设计: The Olympic Games教学设计与反思
1. 教材分析
2. 学情分析本单元是以The Olympic Games 为话题,展开关于奥运会的一系列的知识,通过搜集一些相关奥运会的图片、声音素材以及部分文字资料,利用多媒体课件的教学方式,使学生们更
加了解奥运会的历史起源、宗旨、发展历程和比赛项目,大致了解一些古代希腊神话传说和其中的一些著名人物,了解西方文化和和英语语言的发展。培养学生们阅读能力,并讨论分析古代奥
运会和现代奥运会的共同点和不同之处,以及奥运会上的各项比赛项目。特别是在我们国家举办2008年北京奥运会之后,让学生们更加关注现代奥运会的赛事情况并让学生们积极培养对体育运
动的兴趣,更加理解和学习“奥运”精神。通过前面“热身”(Warming up)、“读前”(Pre-reading)、两个部分内容的的学习和训练,帮助学生们在大脑中形成了一个有关“奥运会”的信息;学习和复习一些有关描述奥运项目的名词;增加了同学们相关的体育知识,并以此来提高培养学生们对体育的兴趣。为下一步“阅读”(Reading)做好充分准备。

一、教学目标

(1) There are two main sets of Games - the Winter and Summer Olympics, and both are held every four years on a regular basis. Every four years athletes from all over the world take part in the Olympic Games.
(2) Only athletes who have reached the agreed standard for their event will be admitted as competitors.
(3) No other countries could join in, nor could slaves and women!
(4) For each Olympics, a special village is built for them to live in, a main reception building,
several stadiums for competitions, and a gymnasium as well.
(4) Does anyone want to host the Olympic Games?
(5) As a matter of fact, every country wants the opportunity. It’s a great responsibility but also a great honour to be chosen. There’s as much competition among countries to host the Olympic
as to win Olympic medals.

Make the students to compare the differences and the similarities between the ancient Olympicand the modern Olympic Games.

Learn the reading skills.
二、Teaching methods 教学方法
Step 1. Ask the students some questions, such as on a beautiful day if they don't have to work, if they don't have to study,what would they
like to do? The students answer and discuss these
questions.Step 2. If the students say that they like do some sports ,then teacher show the students some pictures about sports. People
can do general sports everywhere and every time. But many people
think that it is not very exciting to watch these competitions, because they are not professional competitors.Step3. Discuss if people want
to watch interesting competitions, what should they do ?
Step4. The next, teacher say that countries around the world organize all these professional competitors together to join in the NBA
(National Basketball Association),World Cup, Olympic Games and so on. Then ask the students which competitors do they like?
After that, let them to enjoy
the excellent performance of Liu Xiang to introduce the topic of our article, and ask students to answer questions in Warming Up.
Step5. Ask the students how much do they know about the Olympic Games.
Step6. Teacher made a short cartoon about Da Xiong and Duo Lai Mao, who were received a invitation, and they introduced
themselves to the students, and they just finished a magical journey-(Travel through time and space) to see the ancient Olympic Games. And they come here because teacher told them that the students
are interested in the Olympic Games, they have taken a tape of
the interview from a Greek writer 2000 years ago and a Chinese volunteer for the 2008 Bei Jing Olympic Games, they hope that it
will help the students to know more informations about Olympic Games!
Step7. Make the students listen to the tape to get the main idea.Step8. Test the students about the ancient and the modern Olympic
Games.Step9. Do some exercises on page 11, 12
Step10. Home Work : Discuss the question in Groups: Why do many countries want to host the Olympic Games while others do not?
4. 教学过程
Teaching procedures and ways 教学过程与方式
1、教师引出奥运会相关信息的话题;
2、制作短片叮当猫和大雄受到教师邀请给学生们带来一盘关于一个希腊作家和一个奥运会的志愿者之间的采访磁带录音;
3、学生听磁带录音;
4、课堂理解课文内容,并共同完成习题。
5、讨论国家举办奥运会的优点和缺点。

7.教学反思
采用幻灯片图片和对话问答形式贯于整节课的教学,教学过程不是十分的顺利,坎坷之处以下两点:
一是自己上课有点紧张;二是上课过程有点紧凑。
学生们发言很积极,而且十分踊跃,气氛很活跃,,教师之间互动比较频繁。
