Given the underlying HR problems Yahoo faces, the last strategy discussed in the solution section is required if Yahoo really want to turn its fortune around. In other words, it needs reshuffle its staff at massive scale. A strong leadership and more employee involvement are also antidotes of the current problems. But they do not address the fundamental issues. Yahoo still has one of the best talent pools in the tech industry. The problem is that those talents are not put in right places. By acquiring some startups, Yahoo will be giving more space for growth to its talented employees. Those experienced managers can move to new units to assert leadership.

The short term outcome of this strategy will be that the company will still experience some ups and downs. The restructuring of such a large company takes time and efforts. In the long run, it is expected that Yahoo will improved its competitiveness in the tech industry by building a young and talented human capital. By that time, Yahoo’s brand will be linked with cutting-edge innovation again.
