Comparison of the Chinese and Foreign Academic Journals in Their English Titles: Effect of Difference in Thinking Model and Psychology

Abstract: By analyzing the difference between the thinking models of the Chinese and Western people, the author makes approaches to academic journals of science in their application of “routine words”, sub-tiles and structures, and thus puts forward that the primary cause for the different expressions of titles may be attributed to the attention psychological difference and the different thinking models between the Western people’s “linear ”one and the Chinese people’s “spiral” one.

中外学术期刊对题名都有相似的标准，即：精练、简练、清晰，简称A, B, C ( accuracy, brevity and clarity ) [1]。虽然标准相似，但中外期刊英文题名表述仍存在着相当大的差异(国内期刊为汉译英题目)。笔者研究发现造成这种差异的基本原因是注意心理学和西方“线性”思维模式和国人“螺旋型”思维模式的差异。
