Once I met a difficult question to answer - what is a friend? But now, I think I have a better understanding about friends and friendships.

What is a friend? To me, it is a present I give to myself. There is an English saying "A friend in need is a friend indeed." A friend will probably love us even when we forget to love ourselves.
