Step 1 Warming up and revision: 1.Chant.
2. Question and answer drill.
1. Say the chant of animals actions they learned
before. Say and do the actions.
2. Lead them through a question an answer drill to
review the animals they have learned before.
3. Have a question and answer drill to review the
present continious tense like this :
T: Look at the picture. What is she doing?
Ss: She is doing homework.
3.Look and read.
4.Listen and read.
5.Practcie.
6.Pair work.
7.Listen and read.
T: What is he doing?
Ss: He is running.
T: What are we doing?

T: Look. What’s the bird doing?
Ss: It’s flying in the sky.
Step 2 Presentation and practcie:
1. Demonstrate the new verbs and the drill with some
Pictures and vocabulary cards.
T: Look at the picture. What’s the tiger doing?
Ss: It’s rrnning. The tiger is running.
The same with other verbs.
2. Play the audiotape as the Ss follow along their
books.
3. Practice the present continious tense and the verbs
With the small pictures in the book.
4. Pair work to practice the drill.
5. Play the audiotape of “Let’s
talk” as the Ss follow
along their books.
8. Listen and match.
9.Play the game.
Step 3 Consolidation and extension:
1. Play the audiotape of “let’s try” and ask the class
to listen and match.
2. Ask the class to have a group work to play a game:
One student acts like an animal and others just ask
some questions:
P1: What are you doing?
S: I am jumping.
P1( To a student of their group): What is the rabbit
doing?
S2: She is jumping.
Homework: Copy the four-skills words.
Blackboard: Look at the monkey.
What’s the monkey doing?
