1. I knew Helen Keller in my school class.

I read Helen Keller in my reading class at school when I was 9 years old. At that time my teacher used to recommend some famous books to us. One of them was “three days to see”, which is the autobiography of Helen Keller. From this book I know many stories about Helen’s life. I was touched by her spirit of persistence.

2. A brief account of the Helen Keller's life.

Helen Keller was a famous American writer and educator, in fact she was an unfortunate person, because of the fact that she became totally blind and deaf when she was two years old. No one can imagine what kind of misery she had ever had to live in total darkness and silence. Luckily, she met the greatest teacher, Ms. Sullivan. With the help of her teacher, Helen overcame numerous difficulties and finally became a writer and educator. Meanwhile, she worked hard to improve the living conditions of the handicapped people and made great achievement. I adore her., If she were still living in the world, I would go to America to visit her and tell her how much I adore her.

3. Helen Keller’s childhood.

Helen became deaf and blind when she was two years old. After that she lived in a world of darkness and silence. She didn’t know how to communicate with others, and no one can really understand her heart, she cried and screamed, but the life was the same, in her own words her childhood was sheer loneliness. Fortunately, Ms. Sullivan came into her life when she was 9 years old. If there hadn’t been her teacher, her life would be totally different.

4. Why Helen Keller is quite unusual.

Helen’s life is unusual, because as a blind and deaf people, she overcame huge obstacles and became a successful writer and educator, this is something even normal people could not achieve in their lives. Also, Helen’s passionate love for life is also something which we should learn. Normally, people take everything they get for granted, it is from Helen’s life that we learnt, we should be grateful to anything we have in our life. 5. How Helen overcame the difficulties.

As we know, Helen is both blind and deaf. Anything easy to common people will be much difficult to her. For example, we can read things directly from the books, but she could only read books by touching or with Ms. Sullivan’s help. But she broke this limit by her passion and love for life. For instance, when she studied math, she could not understand the various shapes, so she just used thread to make all kinds of shapes on the cushions. People always says that interest is the best teacher, but I think for Helen, love and passion is the best teacher to help her overcome all the difficulties. If she didn’t have any passion and love, she wouldn’t succeed in doing anything.

6. Why I admire Helen.

I admire Helen very much, because I think during her life, she had achieved the impossible. She inspired generations of people; she made us believe that, once there is a dream, there must be a way to make it come true. After I read her life stories, I imagined all the way she had gone through, and I got much strength from it, now I have no fear for any difficulties in my life and study.

7. What we can learn from Helen Keller.

After I read the book Three days to see, I learnt a lot from Helen. Helen is very persistent, once she made up her mind to do something, she would never give up. I think this spirit is very precious in life. Meanwhile, Helen’s love for life is also valuable. with love, everything in life will become brilliant, without it, all will turn grey, life belongs to each person only once, I think we should use our passion to make it as colorful as possible.

If you had only three days to see the world, what would you do?

If I had only three days to see the world, on the first day, I would go to Be You World to experience all kinds of jobs. Due to my young age, I haven’t worked yet. On the second day, I would go and help some old and helpless people, because I think it’s great to do something for others. On the third day, iwould stay at home with my family, play games and chat with them, just enjoy the peace of life.
