一、成立背景  

Background

国民教育过渡班是国家教育部与宁波市人民政府教育国际交流合作的试点实验项目。是我们学校第一个“国”字头项目。第一个国民教育过渡班已于2013年9月在华茂小学部正式开班,共有26个学生,独特的班级模式、课程设置、教学方法,获得家长的普遍认可,且已经取得可喜的阶段性成果。

National Education Transition class is the education Internatioal exchange and cooperation pilot experimental program by Chinese Ministry of Education and Ningbo Municipal People’s Government. It is school’s first national program. In September 2013, the first National Education Transition Class pioneered in Primary school. With 26 students in the class, unique class mode, curriculum provision and teaching approach, it is widely recognized by parents and has achieved satisfying outcomes in the initial stage.

国民教育过渡班为学生提供了中外优势课程,其课程设置、活动开展、教学方法和教学设施及手段,都区别于其他的常规班级。正是这独特的班级模式,学生的创造能力、探索精神、自我表现能力及团队合作精神在日常学习中得以培养且已经有所体现。经与其他班级的学生相比,这个班的孩子更活泼、思维更活跃、更乐于表达自己的观点且具有较为开阔的视野。国民教育过渡班活动开设的目的旨在培养学生的“家国情怀、国际视野”,培养学生的创新意识、探究能力及团队合作精神。

Having some strong Chinese and foreign courses, National Education Transition Class is different from regular classes in curriculum provision, activities, teaching approach and teaching facilities. These features cultivate students’ creativity, exploration spirit, self-expression and team work spirit in day to day learning. It has already been shown that compared with other students, students of our class are more lively, more active thinking, more expressive and more open-minded. Our activities serve the same purpose: to love home country while having international vision; to foster innovation, exploration and team work spirit.

这些精神和品质的培养,主要通过主题活动课程的方式来体现。开学半个学期来,我们开展了探究课实践活动、联合国日庆祝活动、万圣节活动、运动会、感恩节活动、家长开放日、外出郊游活动、探究课艺术展等活动,将团队意识、创新精神、思维拓展、自主能力的培养贯串在整个活动之中,下半学期还将有圣诞节、元旦庆祝活动以及家长、老师会议,将以一对一的方式进行家长和老师之间的交流,对孩子一个学期的学习情况进行针对性的分析,并提供个性化、处方式的教育。

These spirits and qualities are reflected in theme-based activity classes. In the first half-term, we have had exploration class activities, United Nation Day celebration, Halloween activities, Sports Meeting, Thanks Giving activities, Open House Day, excursions, exploration class arts exhibition, etc. Throughout activities, the mission has always been expanding thinking and cultivating students’ creativity, team spirit and self-dependance. In the second half-term, we have Christmas and New Year celebration, and Parents-teacher meeting, which is one-to-one communication, analysing each student’s performance and giving personalized educational prescription.

在教育实践过程中,我们采用学生成长档案的记录模式,有纸质的,也有电子的,全面记录学生成长的轨迹,客观而全面地评价学生,区别于其他学校及本校其他班级的以学业考试成绩为主来评价学生的模式。注重对学生个性特长的培养,并用纪实的手法记录学生在个性特长发展中的点点滴滴。这种培养模式,极大地突破了应试教育的藩篱,为学生个性化发展、全面健康地成长提供了样式和范本。但这种培养模式,我们还是刚刚起步,还有很长的路要走,还有许多的工作要做,我们将不断地探索,借鉴发达国家的做法,解决工作中存在的问题,使之不断完善。

In educational practice, we have printed and electronic Student Development Record. Unlike other schools or other classes, who use test oriented evaluation, we evaluate students’ overall qualities objectively based on the record we keep. We pay special attention to students’ individuality and speciality and use documentory approach to record their development bit by bit. In this way, we can reach far beyond exam-oriented education and set example for individualized, healthy and overall growth. Although the new cultivating mode has just started, and we have a long way and much work ahead of us, we will keep exploring, learning from developed countries to tackle problems and we will strive for perfection.

为了更好的为每位学生提供个性化、处方式的教育,学期末国民教育过渡班安排了一对一的家长会。家长会采用预约制,每个家长与老师见面的时间为10分钟。在这十分钟内,班主任老师、外方课程顾问和中方英语教师组成的教师团队将于家长进行面对面的交流,在探讨交流的同时还会为家长展示集孩子学期成果为一体的纸质成长档案,使家长对孩子一学期的学习有一个直观的了解。

To provide better individualized educational prescription, at the end of the term, we had one-to-one parents-teacher meeting. Each parent reserved 10 minutes with teacher, during which time, homeroom teacher, foreign coordinator and local English teacher had face-to-face communication with parents. A printed Student Development Record including student’s achievements of the term was shown to parents, giving them a good understanding of what their kid has learn in one term.

Bilingual Mission “华茂双语班宣言”

The definition of the word ‘bilingual’ states that that it is the ability to speak two different languages. The new bilingual program at Hua Mao, however, is striving to do more than just this. We are celebrating two cultures by providing an integrated and deeply collaborative learning curriculum that is the best parts of both the Chinese and Western education system. Students will embark on an educative journey that places emphasis on a well-rounded subject spectrum including programs in Chinese,Maths, Spoken English, Longman English, Art/Drama, Humanities, Cooking, P.E and I.T.

The program will run primarily in Chinese in the morning and English in the afternoon lead by a dedicated team of highly skilled teachers with a fresh, challenging and exciting approach to learning experiences. The Bilingual program aims to nuture the growth and development of the future generation by placing emphasis on communication, listening and responding skills, creativity, exercise, individuality and togetherness.

所谓“双语”,是指掌握两种语言的能力,但是华茂的双语项目绝不仅致力于此。我们试图通过提供一种充分互动与深度合作的课程体系将中外两种文化完美融合,这也是中西教育体系中的精华。学生也将接受多元丰富的课程学习,诸如语文、数学、口语、朗文英语、艺术、戏剧、厨艺、信息技术、人文科学等。

华茂的双语项目由一批有着先进教学理念、执着教学精神、创新教学方法的精英团队组成的。中方课程主要在上午,外方课程安排在下午。该项目强化交流,注重倾听和反映技能,着重培养学生的创新能力、运动能力、团结意识和个性发展。
