Environmental betterment has always been important to government officials, scientific researchers and common citizens alike. Although this issue has long been discussed and examined, it would not be true to say that unanimous agreement has been reached.

In my belief, the more beneficial steps in improving the overall environment of our city are as follows. First and foremost, the overall planners have to come up with a comprehensive development scheme so that all the later projects can be fitted into it under coherent consideration. In the second place, the ratio of green lands has to be largely increased to raise the quality of air and water. Last but not least, common citizens should join in the efforts to protect our environment and battle all the behaviors to pollute our homeland.

In an era when economy develops at such a high speed, environmental problem is connected with and vital to every citizen in the city. We can never wish to realize our dream of a cleaner and more beautiful environment until all of us take actions to build, protect and take care of it.
