"I hate school, and I'm not going back!" Have you ever had that thought?
Lots of kids have had. Usually this feeling doesn't last long. But what if you feel this way too much?
If you are stressed out, you might have a hard time making a decision. In the morning, you can't decide what to eat, what to wear, or what to take for lunch.
Sometimes it's a problem with your classes and schoolwork. Maybe the work is too easy and you get bored. Or maybe the work is too hard, or you don't feel as clever as the other kids.
Reading may be difficult for you, but you are asked to do a lot of it.
You may be getting farther and farther behind, and it may seem that you will never catch up with others.
When you know why you don't like school, you can start taking steps to make things better. It's a good idea to talk to someone about your problems at school. Your mom, dad, friends, teachers, or even classmates will be able to help you.
Another good idea is to write down your feeling about school. For instance, keep a diary or just write in a notebook. It's a great way to let out emotion (情感) that may be stuck inside you. And you don't have to share what you have written with others.
The next time you find yourself disliking school, this will also help you:
Make a list of everything you dislike or enjoy-even there is only one thing. See what you can change on "don't like" list. Could you find a way to show your special interests and talents on what you like? Which activities could you try that would help you solve these "don't like" problems? Focus on what you can change and you might be able to put the good feeling back in school!

Visitors to the 2010 World Expo in Shanghai will be able to go sightseeing in super cool cars with no drivers. Shanghai city officials said recently.
When a prototype (样品) of the six-seat car was shown to the public, it interested many people. "The car will help visitors feel what high technology is and help them enjoy a tour of the World Expo site," said a professor at Tongji University. He was in charge of the project. The prototype -- 4.5 metres long, 1.7 metres wide and 1.6 metres tall -- runs along a white line. The car costs around 300,000 yuan to build and can reach a top speed of 50,000 metres an hour.
According to the researchers, visitors will be able to drive the car anywhere in the World Expo site by pressing a button. If they want to get off or stop the car, all they need to do is just press the button again.
"People can rent (租) one of these cars for a whole day or just take a ride in it from one place to another," the professor said. Around 400 to 500 of these cars will be made for the Expo in 2010. When I was a kid, I always used to wonder how in the world my father worked outside in the winter without a coat. It could be minus 20 degrees centigrade and there'd be Dad, removing snow, or perhaps chopping some wood --- his coat thrown aside--- wearing a shirt, a cap, and a pair of gloves.
"Aren't you cold, Dad?" I'd ask. "No," Dad would reply. "I'm not cold--- working too hard to be cold."
Many times I wondered whether my father was an extremely tough man, or whether he was foolish.
One time when I was quite young, perhaps five or so, I went ice fishing with Dad. It was a bright, clear day-and badly cold.
After we'd been out on the ice for a little while, my feet started getting cold.
" Daddy, my feet are cold." I said.
"Yeah, it's cold out here today," he replied.
"Tell you what," he said. "Walk around. Make some circles in the snow. See how many different patterns you can make. That will get your feet warm."
Now, I was just a little girl at the time but I remember thinking, "How in the world will walking around in the snow make my feet warm? Dad must be out of mind.
But he was my father, after all. I made circles in the snow. I made squares. Pretty soon I was having so much fun making patterns in the snow. I forgot about my feet being cold.
Now, all these years later, I know, too, from personal experience how my father was able to take his coat off and work outside in the winter wearing just a shirt, a cap and gloves. Because I do it, too. "Aren't you cold?" my husband asked one winter day. "No," I replied. "I'm not cold-working too hard to be cold."
I hope my husband has decided I'm both tough and smart. But I guess quite a bit of the time he thinks I'm foolish.
Wherever Dad is in that great big farm in the sky-I'm sure he can't help but smile whenever I take my coat off while I'm working outside in the winter.
